Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles; Oberammergau

Do you know of any tour operator who includes visits to the following places in his day tour programme:-

a) Neuschwanstein Castle,

b) Oberammergau and

c) Linderhof (INCLUDING A VISIT TO THE GROTTO as this is not included in the programme of the tour operators I have come across).

Non tour operator is offering a prearranged package tour including everything you are looking for.

As you found out, all those packages only include Neuschwanstein and Linderhof ( without the Grotto) due to timetables, cost and bringing matching groups together.

Therefore, most people booking those tours are missing the Grotto and the nice Oberammergau.

My recommendation for you is, rent a car and visit all by yourself ! It is easy and you will experience much more.

Yes, might be some how more expensive when you travel alone but the cost isn´t that much if you travel with 2 or 3 friends and split the cost of the car and gas.

If you do the trip by yourself - have a stop at Ettal ! It is on the way and close to Oberammergau.
